Take for example the Dominican Network, it’s a huge organization that primarily reaches through the Catholics all over the world, specifically, the Philippines. As it was called the Dominicans for Justice and Peace, the organization was created in the year 1998 by the Order of Preachers of Dominicans OP. It was established as an official presence at the United Nations in pursue of declaring the Gospel message. Also, Dominican Network is focused in spreading justice and peace in the whole world through the Word of God. One of their goals, is also to minimize the heightening rate of social injustice and human rights violations worldwide.
Now for the active Dominican Network members, the organization is putting an effort to provide world-wide forums and tackle about the projects and tasks that they can do for the people. They are also assigned to work with other groups like the Franciscans International and other NGO members. In the year 2002, Dominicans were recognized and given the Special Consultative Status through the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the world renowned organization, the United Nations.
For 10 years, the Dominican Network shared various collaborative projects with the Franciscans International in Geneva. The organization also worked with the Dominican Leadership Conference at the UN in New York.
